Lara Croft Can Wait Until 2028.. Another Delay Hits Amazon's Tomb Raider Adventures

Amazon Postpones "Catalyst" and Wastes Its Own Opportunity

I'm not going to sugarcoat this: Amazon is now pushing Tomb Raider: Catalyst back to 2028, when it was supposed to launch way before that. And this isn't even the first delay. After the Lara Croft TV series stumbled and Legacy of Atlantis got postponed (which was supposed to reimagine the first game), Amazon's whole gaming strategy feels like a project without any real vision.

What Does This Mean for Arab Gamers?

If you ask me, these delays point to a deeper problem: Amazon is trying to develop multiple Tomb Raider projects at the same time, and the result? Both are suffering from neglect. Arab players who are genuinely excited to see Lara Croft make a real comeback are going to be waiting years longer, and the worst part is we don't even know if these games will be worth the wait.

Repeated delays kill the hype. People forget, projects lose momentum. Amazon has a golden opportunity to resurrect an iconic franchise, but at this pace, it feels like they're turning that opportunity into one frustrating marathon.

The Bottom Line

I can't recommend holding your breath for these games anytime soon. If you're waiting for Lara Croft, go back and enjoy the older games, and focus on what's actually available right now. Amazon needs to learn that quality matters, sure—but reasonable speed matters too. And right now, they're missing both.
