One of us experienced something that tests any gamer's patience: genuinely enjoying a session with Marvel Tokon, then without warning — it's gone. The network crashed, the game froze, and all the fun vanished. Nothing wastes your time quite like being left alone staring at a black screen, waiting for your connection to come back.
It's so much more than one game
What really got to me wasn't the game itself, but that PlayStation Network cast its shadow over the whole experience yet again. Sony seriously needs to sort this out. I'm not talking about rare disconnections — I'm talking about a pattern that keeps destroying gaming sessions for players all over the world, and Arab gamers are definitely no exception.
The rest of the team got luckier: they enjoyed other games without a hitch, away from all the chaos. But that doesn't change the core problem. If you're relying on online PlayStation games right now, you're basically betting on a network that's completely unstable.
Who should I tell to wait?
If you're planning to grab a PlayStation 5 soon and want a smooth experience with multiplayer games, here's my honest take: hold off for a month or two. Let Sony get their act together first. Your gaming sessions don't deserve to get cut in half, especially if you're paying for a subscription.
But if you're patient and play during times when things seem more stable, give it a shot and judge for yourself. That said, my expectations have been let down, and I won't sugarcoat it.
