Stellar Blade: Blood Rain from Shift Up got real attention when it showed up at Summer Games Fest. But now? The company's trying to sell us on a music video that's entirely AI-generated, and honestly, that's a rough move.
The video shows protagonist Eve singing a track called "Wanna be in Love" — and you can feel that literally everything about it is artificial. The music, the movements, even the facial expressions. Eve's walking through a dark cyberpunk city, and at one point she picks up a key to the "KPop Demon Hunters" tower — the whole scene feels like it was stitched together from random scraps with zero coherent message.
Why This Actually Hurts
In my opinion, there's a huge difference between using technology as a creative tool and relying on it as a replacement for actual creativity. The game itself might be solid — the concept, the world, the story might all be worth your attention — but greeting it with a soulless AI video sends the wrong message: that the studio doesn't care enough to invest in a real promotional experience for players.
What bothers me most is how random it feels. Why this song specifically? What does a tower key have to do with the story? Is there some deeper meaning, or did the AI just throw random elements together to fill the gaps? There's zero emotional connection to any of it.

If you're genuinely hyped about the story, world, and actual gameplay mechanics in Blood Rain, don't let this video sway you. The game might be worth your time. But if you're looking for a studio that respects its audience and invests in a complete experience — including real promotional content — then maybe this isn't the best pick right now.
